However, these newer books are written by their son (I believe) and have a lot of religious references. Instead of the "inspirational" saying / motto in the front, there is a reference to different parts of the bible. As we are not religious (hence I'm not sure how to say what the references are from - ie.|About the Author||Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. 

A storm hits Bear country, and Bear Country might flood! It’s up to the Bear family and the rest of the rescue team from the Chapel in the Woods to come together and save their community.
